Sensitivity analysis of avoidable and unavoidable exergy destructions in a parallel double‐effect LiBr–water absorption cooling system

A parametric study has been carried out based on advanced exergy assessment for a parallel double-effect LiBr–water absorption chiller. The method provides the real potential of equipment improvement in system by recognizing avoidable irreversibilities. sensitivity analysis various parts destruction (endogenous avoidable, endogenous unavoidable, exogenous and unavoidable) components overall performance (coefficient performance, efficiency, modified efficiency) done to identify actual different improve relative operational parameters. Operational parameters include heat source temperature, sink difference between condensation temperature. results showed that modifying improving components, 18.5% total could be reduced. efficiency reduces sharply (nearly 40%) with rising increases all except condenser evaporator temperature increase. With increase part due significant rise unavoidable decreases (more than 200%) absorber. Increasing low-temperature exchanger.
